There are seven seats on the council.<\/p>\n<p>1. Nomination papers may be obtained by downloading and printing a copy from<br \/>\nhttps:\/\/www.electoralcommission.org.uk\/guidance-candidates-and-agents-local-government<br \/>\nelections-england\/nominations\/completing-your-nomination-papers\/nomination-form , emailing<br \/>\nelection2026@cherwell-dc.gov.uk or by telephoning 01295 221534. Paper copies may be<br \/>\nobtained from the Returning Officer at Cherwell District Council, 39 Castle Quay, Banbury,<br \/>\nOX16 5FD, Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays) 9am \u2013 5pm.<br \/>\n2. Nomination papers must be delivered in person to the Returning Officer at Cherwell District<br \/>\nCouncil, 39 Castle Quay, Banbury, OX16 5FD on any day after the date of this notice, on<br \/>\nMonday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays) 10am to 4pm but no later than 4pm on Thursday 9<br \/>\nApril 2026. Appointments can be made by email or telephone \u2013 election2026@cherwell<br \/>\ndc.gov.uk or 01295 221534<br \/>\n3. If any election is contested the poll will take place on Thursday 7 May 2026.<br \/>\n4. Applications to register to vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by midnight on<br \/>\nMonday 20 April 2026. Applications can be made online: https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/register-to-vote<br \/>\n5. New applications, amendments or cancellations of existing postal votes, amendments or<br \/>\ncancellations of proxy votes and amendments or cancellations of existing postal proxy votes<br \/>\narrangements must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Cherwell District Council, 39<br \/>\nCastle Quay, Banbury, OX16 5FD by 5pm on Tuesday 21 April 2026 if they are to be effective<br \/>\nfor this election.
